The long-awaited spiritual sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles has been out in Japan since April 29. In the Nintendo E3 Digital Event, Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U finally received a western release date, due out on December 2, 2015.
The game is an open-world RPG with many MMO elements. Its story is about survivors of a now destroyed Earth who have crash-landed on a strange alien planet. Players can design their own character and team up with other survivors to explore and fight hostile enemies. Later in the game, giant mechs called “Skells” can be piloted in order to traverse the environment and fight larger foes.
