Four years ago, remixer Theophany, based in Los Angeles, California, officially released the first disc of their Majora’s Mask-inspired project known as “Time’s End.”

In “Time’s End,” a wide array of musicians and singers come together with the help of producer Theophany to bring the epic tunes from the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to life. The first disc consists of songs from the beginning of the game, such as Clock Town, the Great Fairy, and many more. The second disc, which released on November 22nd, covers what would happen after receiving the iconic ocarina: resetting time and making your way to the first temple. The Deku Palace and Oath to Order are some recognizable songs in this disc, but my favorite is their rendition of Odolwa’s fight, titled “Odolwa’s Mask.” When releasing the first disc, Theophany posted onto their “Time’s End” website:

“I would like to thank everyone for the incredible reaction this project has received. For years I have wanted to create an album that attempted to capture the beautiful and nightmarish world of Majora’s Mask. While I am only releasing the first disc today, Time’s End will eventually cover the entire soundtrack. This album is a free gift to fans and a tribute to one of the greatest games ever made.”

All discs are posted onto the official Theophany Remix YouTube channel, but through their BandCamp page, fans can donate whatever amount of money they want and download the discs straight to their computer, supporting Theophany and his growing project.

I have been a fan of their work for years and I look forward to hearing more from this album. What are your thoughts on Theophany’s rendition of the tunes from Majora’s Mask? Let us know in the comments below!
