With the vague 2015 at the end of the announcement, we have probably about a year from November to wait for the new The Legend of Zelda title.
But why wait to figure it out?
First, we get this vast world of what we’re going to assume is Hyrule, which looks to be the first fully developed open world Zelda title. The way I see it is that it’s like a little bit of Skyrim.
So, what the heck attacked Link & Epona? And yes, after those explosions, I also thought it was Michael Bay.
So, let’s speculate – what is the monster attacking Link & Epona? Best I can tell is that it’s an Octorok that looks like it came from The Wind Waker, only with a Beamos attached.

What do you think, Hidden Triforce fans? What is that monster? What do you think of Link’s design?
To me, it’s the HD fix of Skyward Sword, which was a blend of Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker.
The entire idea presented today looked like it would play out like a full feature anime film, so I’m not too upset with the cartoonish look again.
