There’s a new Super Smash Bros. Direct coming tomorrow, but it appears that most of the information was already leaked. In a duo of short clips that appeared on YouTube early this morning, two new fighters were revealed; fan-favourite Roy from the Fire Emblem series will be returning to Super Smash Bros, and newcomer Ryu from the Street Fighter games will be making his Smash debut.
Along with the character announcement, news of two new stages and a myriad of trophies and mii fighter costumes was also leaked. Ryu will be getting his own stage and Kirby’s Dreamland will be coming back from the original N64 version of Super Smash Bros. New trophies include trophies for the three newest characters – Lucas, Roy, and Ryu – as well as trophies for an Inkling Girl from Splatoon and Ken from Street Fighter.
The Mii brawler will be receiving Akira, Jacky and Heihachi outfits (all characters from Virtua Fighter or Tekken), while the Mii Gunner will be getting Isabelle (from Animal Crossing) and Mega Man.EXE for Gunner. Finally, the Mii Swordfighter gets a Zero costume.
Remember that this is all still speculation, but try to act surprised after the Nintendo Direct officially announces everything tomorrow.
