Check it out, Majora’s Mask fans. Animation and digital media team Ember Lab has recently released a teaser trailer for their upcoming fan project, an animated Majora’s Mask short film.
The teaser trailer shows the iconic Happy Mask Salesman traveling through a forest before caressing and curiously eyeing the infamous Majora’s Mask. The fan film will feature music by Theophany, a group of musicians and artists who came together to release their immensely popular and successful Majora’s Mask tribute “Time’s End” back in 2012. According to Ember Lab’s YouTube channel, their film will collaborate with other artists as well.
“The short film is a collaboration with talented artists from around the world and features music by Theophany. Majora’s Mask was an amazing experience that continues to inspires us as artists. This project is a tribute the game we all love. The film is nearly complete and we are excited to share it very soon.”
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is considered a true masterpiece by many Legend of Zelda fans. As a huge fan of the game, I find it likely that Ember Lab’s work on this film will succeed in bringing the nightmarish but colorful and beautiful story of Majora’s Mask to life through stunning music and eye-catching animation.
