In today’s Nintendo Direct, Bill Trinen revealed two new modes for Splatoon. Ranked Battle mode pits two four player teams against each other to control different zones. Another new mode is Battle Dojo, which allows two players to battle against each other locally, with one on the GamePad and the other on the TV screen. Players compete to pop the most balloons. Inkling Amiibo will be released on the same day as Splatoon, When activating an Inkling Amiibo, players receive missions; upon completing them, special weapons and gears is rewarded to the player. These bonuses are only available through these Amiibo. The game and Inkling Amiibo launch May 29.
