After Nintendo;s E3 event last year Shigeru Miyamoto hinted that the upcoming Zelda Skyward Sword game would have the orchestrated music we have all been dying for. Since then however we had heard no official confirmation until now.

Apparently, Mahito Yokota, who also did Mario Galaxy 2’s soundtrack and the orchestrated songs in Twilight Princess will be working on the orchestration for Skyward Sword. Mr Yokota was recently featured in an edition of Iwata Asks where these topics and more were addressed.

It was also revealed that there would be minor orchestration in the remake of Ocarina of Time for the 3DS.
