Oh well too bad! I'm lefty myself but I mainly play the wii remote in my right hand when it comes to all wii games….but what is the difference anyway???

  • Jennifer

It's just the same as playing a normal controller; mainly all the buttons be on the right side while you play with the analog stick on the left side so it really wouldn't matter if you're playing as Link left or right-handed.

Wow. I find this really disappointing. I have difficulty controlling the bird in twilight princess with my right hand. Which means I'll have to switch every time I go to the sky. Or use the sword. Or the beetle. Or anything. That's really annoying.

That is really disappointing. I'm 100% left handed, I can't do anything with my right hand. I guess I'd better start practicing using my right hand when I play the Wii. Though, I did hear that Link is Left handed but all swordsmen are taught to use a sword with their Right hand, because Lefties would have a disadvantage fighting against a right handed swordsman, so they're all trained Right handed. That's why in Wind Waker and games before that, Link's uses his sword with his Left hand, and (I think) all the games after that are with Link using his Right hand.

then hold the wiimote in your left hand..

      • Mike

Yeah, I'm Left handed and play Wii with the remote in my right hand and nunchuk in my left. Though it probably won't be a problem playing this game like that, I still feel for Eliska because apparently it's a bit confusing playing as a lefty through skyward sword because of the mirror image on the screen and 1:1 with a lot of things.

I mean, holding it like everyone else isn't hard. It's just sword fighting, the bird, etc.. probably would just feel a bit unnatural. If they took the time to mirror Twilight Princess for the Wii, I can't imagine why it'd be so hard to just have a left handed mode.

I also just miss Link being a lefty. ):

I don't know why they changed Link from a lefty to a righty anyway. If right handed people can't swing a wiimote with their left hand, they have bigger problems. It's not like waving it back and forth takes immense skill and hand dexterity.

that sucks. since they postponed the game i thought they were putting for features on it.

by the way…. can you only get skyward sword by pre-ordering it?
