Fans in The Legend of Zelda community were shocked and saddened last month when it was announced legendary comedic actor Robin Williams passed away.

Though we in the Zelda community know Williams’ devoted love for Nintendo games, specifically The Legend of Zelda (naming his own daughter after the titular princess), Mr. Williams was also an all-around avid gamer, including his time spent in Blizzard’s fictional world of Azeroth (World of Warcraft).

Blizzard is the first video game company that has moved forward with paying tribute to the late actor by including not one, but three different versions of Robin the Entertainer.

Reports from beta testers for the fifth expansion to the popular MMO franchise are saying that there are characters that resemble Genie from Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, and one of Williams presumably doing standup. A large egg with an attached steering wheel (Mork & Mindy) and a few toys (Toys) were also found near one of the NPC’s of Mr. Williams.

Though Nintendo appeared to be flattered by the outpouring of requests from fans to include Robin Williams in some shape or form in the upcoming Zelda U, they have neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of it happening.

With Blizzard moving forward with their decision, do you think the pressure is on for Nintendo to follow suit? How should Nintendo proceed if they do? A Talon and Malon team up to honor the father-daughter combo of Robin and Zelda Williams? Or what about making him the King of Hyrule? Share your thoughts in the comments, fans!
