Contrary to the update we made yesterday, we now know that Ocarina of Time 3DS will not be coming out until after E3. The update we last made on this game had OoT 3DS’ release date set at June 2 of this year. This release date stemmed from a Gamestop release date which is known for being fairly inaccurate. So what is the exact release of the game?
This we do not know, but we do know that Ocarina of Time for the 3DS will not be released until after this year’s E3 event. Reggie Fils-Aime recently sat down with MTV Multiplayer to discuss the 3DS and its game lineup. Here is a quote from this discussion from which we draw our conclusion.
“Mario, Zelda, all of those titles are coming. And, from our perspective, we like to launch titles when they’re ready. And so they’ll be ready, they’ll be ready soon, but just not in that initial time period of late March to early June. So for games like Kid Icarus, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, those games we’ll share more information about at E3, certainly they’ll launch after E3.”
