Though none of this information is particularly new, some details have been revealed about the upcoming Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. A bullet list of details can be found below.

  • First off the overworld is not exactly the same as A Link to the Past’s.
  • Many people have noticed the similarities between the hieroglyphic Link from The Wind Waker’s opening sequence and that in the official art for the game. Nintendo acknowledges they look the same, but did not elaborate if there is any meaning to this fact.

  • The game runs at 60 frames-per-second.

  • Link can merge onto almost any wall.

  • The dungeon we have seen so far is a new version of the Tower of Hera.

  • The energy gauge removes the need to stock up on items and Link’s wall ability uses part of the gauge.
