Residing in Vancouver, Canada, Rhonda and Tyler Homfeld sell various video game-related creations at their Etsy store RosHandmades. Rhonda Homfeld creates cards for any occasion for their store while her husband, Tyler, makes video game merchandise that includes pins, keychains, necklaces, notebooks, and even a Legend of Zelda-inspired plaque.

RosHandmades opened around five months ago with the intention of selling Rhonda’s cards, but Tyler later decided to sell his additional crafts in the store as well. Although he has always enjoyed RPG games, the Legend of Zelda series holds a special place in his heart.

Legend of Zelda Character Keychains

“I first started doing notebooks with the character sheets and that was fun, but as far as commercially viable products go, the resulting books were not up to my high standards of polish. I then moved on to using individual characters in keychains and bottle cap pins. That was a perfect Idea in my eyes. Its polished, the results are easily repeatable and I can offer them for a reasonable price so even people who grew up poor like me can afford them. That is the biggest thing for me. I grew up looking at all these neat fan memorabilia items of games and I couldn’t afford them because we were poor. I vowed, when I started selling, that my prices would always be low so I don’t cause that same feeling for others.”

His bottle cap pins, pendants, notebooks, and necklaces feature characters from the Legend of Zelda, Persona, Final Fantasy, and the Chrono Trigger series’. Aside from jewelry, the Homfelds sell cards for special occasions, LGBT pride cards, and even Animal Crossing-inspired light switch cover plates. My personal favorite item in their shop is their Legend of Zelda plaque that can be customized with any ocarina song from either Majora’s Mask or Ocarina of Time. “I laser print and affix (the design) to a 5×7 artist plaque with mod podge. That and the trimming can take up to 30 minutes because I demand of myself the perfect product for my customers. After it’s affixed and trimmed, I varnish it so it is well protected.”

RosHandmades is supplying our readers with a 5% discount off any item in their store! The code will be THEHIDDENTRIFORCE. You can find more photos of their items at their official Etsy store.
