Majora’s Mask 3DS Remake Remains a Possibility

Not too long ago Zelda Producer  Eiji Aonuma stated that if enough fans expressed support that we may get to see Majora’s Mask on the 3DS. Fans all over the world united in an effort known as Operation Moonfall to sign petitions, send letters, and express an overwhelming support of the game heading onto the Nintendo 3DS.

However, since then we have not heard anything else in regards to the matter. And while this still does not give us a real answer, it is nice to see  Aonuma discussing issue. According to him Nintendo is still considering a release of the game for the 3DS. However they would much rather create and release a brand new Zelda game before they tackle this project.

“It’s something I’m asked about often and I assure you that it is something I’ve spoken to Miyamoto about. But recently we released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D as a remake. We are considering the idea, but it didn’t seem right to launch a remake one after another, so the next Zelda game on 3DS will be original.”

So what do you think? Would you rather get a remake of Majora’s Mask for the 3DS or have a brand new 3DS Zelda title?

I would like either one, although anxiousness would make me scared of them not releasing Majora's Mask 3D. So I would like Majora's Mask 3D first, as an original Zelda game is virtually guaranteed with the possibility of beautiful scenery and intriguing puzzles using 3D.

i would imagine that since OoT and MM originally used the same engine and graphics that they could do the again with the 3ds. It only took a yr for MM after OoT so it should not be all that much extra work if they really wanted to

I'd prefer the remake. The new Zelda games aren't as good as they used to be, OoT and MM were much more emotional and "dark" games.

I agree with MM, but OoT always seemed kiddish and childish to me, not dark at all… More like Wind Waker with realistic graphics.
