Satoru Iwata has finally announced confirmation of the long awaited Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. The game is set to come out onto the Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2015.

Announced during their Nintendo Direct event today, Nintendo did not go into the specifics of any new features that may be available for the game. A brief trailer was shown which highlighted the upgraded graphics in Termina.

Majora’s Mask was first released onto the N64 in the year 2000, the first Zelda title to be directed by Eiji Aonuma. News for a remake has long been anticipated since the remake of Ocarina of Time 3D and many cameos throughout A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS.
