We recently posted about how the upcoming 3DS title, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, won’t be released until 2013. Well it looks like those of you who were disappointed by that news won’t have to wait too long after all. Nintendo of America tweeted that the next installment in the Luigi’s Mansion series will be out in the first quarter of 2013. While we still don’t know why the game was pushed back to early next year, it’s nice to finally have a time frame. It may have been to spread out sales. Nintendo is launching the Wii U and New Super Mario Bros. U in late 2012, so they probably want to hold off on Luigi’s Mansion so they can maximize profits. Well, that’s just my theory. Maybe it would actually sell better if it were released around the holidays. In the end, at least it’s coming sooner rather than later.
