Link and Zelda Makes it into Guinness World Records

The recently released Gamer’s Edition of the Guinness World Records 2011 has both Zelda and Link honored in the top 50 video game characters of all time. Our beautiful Princess Zelda landed a solid ranking of 31 while Link took the Silver ribbon and got second Princess Zelda fell in at #31 while Link took the #2 spot. Nintendo’s mascot and idol Mario of course got the highest ranking.

Several other Nintendo characters were honored in the list including Samus at 14th, Yoshi at 21, and Ash, from Pokemon, at 37th. Out of the top 50 Nintendo had themselves quite a collection of honorees which shows that Nintendo’s franchises are some of the most respected and enjoyed games out there.

    Sure, he DESERVES to be number one, but Mario appeals to a HUGE audience and thus is most popular. There's absolutely no shame in losing to Mario though. In fact, I'd say Link would be pretty happy right now if he found out he made the number 2 spot. ;)

    Oh, and by the way, it's "Ash" not "Ask".

    Of COURSE he deserved #1, but I can't say I'm surprised he didn't get it. Some people have no taste. :(

  • i think link should've got 1st considering he's the greatest game character ever.and zelda should've been at lest in the top ten
