Though nothing has been confirmed for Zelda yet, we can probably expect Nintendo to offer something creative for her Amiibo.

Really can’t afford most games much less the starting trend of incessant add ons. DLC has been around for ages, it’s not new. It’s not bad, but amiibos… really $15 plus tax and possibly shipping depending on how you get it. That’s a lot for a spinning top. Amiibos shouldn’t be used to unlock content. It’s dumb to make someone pay that much for 1 weapon in a game. Sure there’s the argument ”it can be used in multiple games” but really? It’s not needed in any other game to unlock things and I hope this trend dies here. I’m not paying that much for a bad looking toy that will only unlock 1 thing in a game. For the amount you pay for that you could buy ALL dlc packs in hyrule warriors.

I don’t think the purpose of amiibos is to act as a piece of DLC. That is just an extra feature.
