Countdown to E3 – Saturday Digest

Hey Hidden Triforce fans! The most exciting week for video game news is just hours upon us and this weekend has already kicked off some tasty samples of what to look forward to at E3 2014!

Here’s what was making news today:

Xbox Twitter account asks fans: If you could play only one Zelda game forever, what would it be?

Fans instantly jumped to conclusions that Nintendo was going to start selling software to Microsoft. While this has not been confirmed or denied, other level heads take this as a nice nod to the coming week and that Microsoft is just tipping their hat to Nintendo for making one of the most memorable video game franchises in history.

Speculation has run rampant the past few months with Nintendo tanking in the hardware division that they should consider becoming software only, but the recent sales numbers for Mario Kart 8 did help a little in hardware sales.

What was your take on the Xbox tweet? Was Microsoft just being friendly and acknowledging the fans, or do they know something we don’t?

Hyrule Warriors new trailer “confirmed.”

The Zelda fan community has been buzzing with this tweet from @Zelda_musou, claiming to be the official Hyrule Warriors Twitter account.

In a translated version of the tweet (thank you Google Chrome!), there is good potential that we will see new footage for Hyrule Warriors at E3.

What is your take on this news? Is you appetite wet enough now for Hyrule Warriors? Or are you waiting to sink your teeth into Zelda Wii U?

Nintendo’s showroom packet goes viral…again.

This is not the first time someone has posted a picture of a packet of paper branded as an official Nintendo document with a title rundown, but with it being so close to E3 – anything is believable right now.

We shared this image earlier this morning and got great feedback from you the fans. Most of you shared your skepticism on it being an actual document. That doesn’t take away from the fun in the idea that it could be the real deal.

In case you missed it, this image shows what to possibly look forward being announced next week as new titles for the 3DS and Wii U.

Official showroom rundown?

If this indeed the actual rundown, the Wii U has a lot of good news coming its way!

What are your thoughts on this list, fans?

I have a feeling Microsoft is just being nice, and probably trying to get some publicity with their act of kindness, and the document is almost definitely fake, documents like those always turn out to be fake.
