While the release date is unconfirmed, Ubisoft has come out and stated that the third main installment of Assassin’s Creed will be launched with the Wii U. Hopefully, this will silence the hard core crowd who claims that the Wii U will retain the Wii’s casual gameplay. While the Wii U has come across as the “Wii 2” rather than it’s own system, the addition of a major, mature franchise will certainly help to attract other, more mature gamers. Personally, I am extremely excited for the newest Assassin’s Creed, but I feel like most people are just going to buy it for their Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 rather than go out and purchase a new console just for slightly better graphics. While it may not be a selling point for the Wii U, it certainly does help its image.
